Suryakumar Yadav: Staying at number 1 will be more difficult

India's middle order batter Suryakumar Yadav recently rose to imperial heights. He is currently the number 1 ICC T20 Batsman. After a long stint of phenomenal performances SKY has reacted to his rise in the rankings. Suryakumar is also the highest run scorer in 2022 in T20Is with 935 runs. He overtook Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan to clinch the milestone. 

The batter has also been performing brilliantly in the T20 World Cup 2022. His best knock being a 40 balls 68 run innings. 

SKY expresses his emotions

“I am really happy with it (reaching rank 1) and it has been hard work all the way. Reaching here was very difficult, but I think staying here will be more difficult. It will be a challenge, but I will try my best." 

When talking about the T2O World Cup 2022, India has basically made it into the semi-finals. They will most likely meet England in the semi-final. Tomorrow they will meet Zimbabwe in their final match of the Super 12 stage of the tournament. A win against the Zimbabweans will tight-lock their berth in the semis.
