It won't be tough but South Africa will still have to beat the Netherlands in the 40th match of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval to qualify for the next stage.

After some gruelling fight, the Proteas are almost through if they complete the job of beating their counterparts for this encounter. They have been thoroughly professional during the mega-event and will look to continue the winning run. No glaring weaknesses but will have to get even better when they march on in the semis. Net Run Rate not a problem at all as a win would take them over.

The Dutch, on the flip side, are here after a special victory against Zimbabwe. Although they are eliminated but still have everything to play for when they take the field. The side is a fantastic with a lot of exciting talent mixed with seniors.

Match Details

Match: South Africa vs Netherlands, Match 40, Super 12 Group 2, T20 World Cup 2022
Time & Date: 6th November 2022, Sunday, 5:30 AM (IST)
Venue: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
Streaming & Live Broadcasting: Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar

Pitch Report: This has been one of the best grounds to have a bat in hand with scores ranging from 170-175 on average. The long straight boundaries will allow the bowlers to pitch the ball up whereas the batters would like to target the shorter square sides. The weather looks decent with bright and sunny skies.

Probable Playing XI

South Africa: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Wayne Parnell, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje.

Netherlands: Stephan Myburgh, Max O'Dowd, Tom Cooper, Colin Ackermann, Bas de Leede, Scott Edwards (c & wk), Roelof van der Merwe, Logan van Beek, Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren and Brandon Glover.

Prediction

With the kind of side that the Proteas boasts of, there shouldn't be any problem for them to walk past this Dutch side. However, things aren't as simple as they look with upset still looming large.

Netherlands will be keen to prove themselves but as it looks like, South Africa should win this contest and qualify for the semi-finals.
