Ireland lost their last group stage game against New Zealand, but Joshua Little stole the limelight as the left-arm pacer became only the second Irish bowler to take a hat-trick in World Cups.

At one stage, New Zealand were 174 for 3, and were well on their course to cross the 200-run mark. But Little bowled his heart out in the 19th over and took the crucial wickets of Kane Williamson (61), Jimmy Neesham and Mitch Santner for golden ducks to pull the game back for his side.

Now after his heroic effort, former England skipper Michael Vaughan heaped praise on Little and reckons that he'll be getting franchise contracts in the near future.

"Joshua Little is a quality bowler... I think he'll be getting a few franchise contracts," says Vaughan in a tweet.

Little became the second bowler after Karthik Meiyappan to bag a hat-trick in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup.

Talking about the match, New Zealand posted a competitive 185 for the loss of 6 wickets. In reply, Ireland faltered in their chase and could only score 150 on the board, losing the match by 35 runs.
