KL Rahul had been under immense pressure after being unable to display consistent performances in the T20 World Cup 2022 and the series preceding the tournament. His place in the squad was questioned by many, but KL silenced his critics with a brilliant 32 ball 50 in the first innings of the match against Bangladesh

Rahul talked about his mindset and how the previous poor innings affected him.

What Rahul said

“There have been mixed feelings. I got some good knocks before coming to Australia. But the first three games haven't gone my way.”

“You know when you are playing well and when you aren't. I was doing a lot of things right, I was seeing the ball well. I wasn't really worried about missing out in the first three innings. But obviously, you are hungry, it's a big tournament, you want to do well for your country. You want to do well for your team. I was excited about it. I'm happy I got a good innings now.”

At the time of writing the game between India and Bangladesh is halted as rain arrived. Bangladesh are 66 for no loss. Litton Das has been hitting around the park like there's no tomorrow. He has so far racked up 59 runs in 26 deliveries. India need to win the match to make a place in the semis, with already one loss in the table, if the Men in Blue fail to clinch the ongoing match their berth in the semis will be unlikely.
