India name squads for NZ and BAN tour, Hardik Pandya to lead in NZ T20Is

In a significant development, the BCCI has announced Indian squads for the upcoming tours of New Zealand and Bangladesh. Swashbuckling all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to lead the team in New Zealand T20Is, while veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan will captain the side in the subsequent ODI series. 

India's first-choice top order batters Virat KohliRohit Sharma and KL Rahul have been rested from the New Zealand tour. However, they will make their return in the Bangladesh tour. 

Promising fast bowler Umran Malik has been included in both teams to be departed for New Zealand. Similarly, domestic sensations Kuldeep Sen and Yash Dayal have earned their maiden call-ups for the ODI series against New Zealand and Bangladesh, respectively. 

In another notable event, experienced spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been included in the team for the Bangladesh ODIs. For information, Jadeja was ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to an unfortunate injury.

Team India will tour New Zealand to play three ODIs and as many T20Is against the hosts. The T20I series, which begins on November 18, will be followed by the ODI series starting on November 25. 

After the completion of the tour, the Men in Blue will lock horns against Bangladesh in a three-match ODI series from December 4 to 10, followed by a two-match Test series from December 14 to 26.
