Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has opened up on his appalling experience in an Australian hotel during the T20 World Cup 2022.

Taking to his Instagram, Kohli shared a video clicked by hotel staff revealing the details of his room.

Kohli slammed the act on social media and claimed that it was appalling and he is paranoid about the lack of privacy. Australian cricketer David Warner also reacted on the matter stating that it was a ridiculous thing to do.

Warner wrote: "This is ridiculous, totally unacceptable. Was this @crownperth.”

While Kohli appreciates the fanaticism surrounding him, he believes the act was an invasion of his private space. It remains to be seen whether the hotel management decides to take stringent action against the staff responsible.

Kohli's post read

"I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment."

Meanwhile, the player has been in impressive form in the World Cup and he played a match-winning knock against Pakistan earlier this month.
