Former Indian cricketer Roger Binny was recently appointed as the president of the BCCI.

Binny replaced Sourav Ganguly at the helm and he will be looking to take Indian cricket forward and help them win the major ICC events in the near future.

The newly elected president was treated to an absolute classic when India took on Pakistan last week in the T20 World Cup 2022. The Men in Blue edged out a thriller in the last ball of the innings.

Virat Kohli smacked an unbeaten 82 runs to guide India home in a pulsating thriller. Binny has now reflected on the generational knock from the former Indian captain.

He believes that Kohli's innings was like a dream and he struggled to comprehend how the Indian star knocked the ball around the park. Binny further added that despite the player's indifferent form prior to the Asia Cup, he had nothing to prove and he is the kind of batsman who thrives under pressure.

Reflecting on Kohli's knock, he said (h/t NDTV):

"It was like a dream for me. Couldn't realise the way the ball was being hit in the park by Kohli. It was a fantastic victory. You never see such matches where most of the time the match was in Pakistan's favour and all of a sudden it came back to India. Good for the game as it's what the crowd wants to see.

"Kohli didn't have to prove himself. He is a class player and players like him thrive in pressure situations, pressure brings out the best of them."

Kohli backed up his impressive knock against Pakistan with an unbeaten 62 against the Netherlands. He will look to continue his red-hot form and guide India to World Cup glory this year.
