England's dazzling all-rounder Moeen Ali during the T20 World Cup game against Ireland, achieved the landmark of 1000 T20I runs. He achieved this landmark while batting in his 58th T20I innings.

Reaching the landmark by hitting a boundary on the final ball of the 13th over when he reached the score of 8.

Batting at an average of 23.33, he has maintained the strike rate of 146 which is impressive considering he bats generally in the lower middle order. Making his T20 International debut in 2014 against the West Indies, he has been a vital member of the side with both bat and ball, captaining the side during many occasions.

Chasing 158 for victory, Ali was trying his level best to pull back the chase for his side which unfortunately he couldn't as rain forced the match to fall in Ireland's favour by just 5 runs (DLS Method).
