Pakistan captain Babar Azam was all praise for Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya as the Indian batting pair recorded a 113-run partnership to take India home in the recently-concluded match of the T20 World Cup 2022.

Losing in a last-over thriller, Pakistan were left amused by the batsmanship of Kohli, who led India to one of the greatest-over World Cup wins in Pandya's company.

Although the men in blue languished at 31/4, Kohli charged the Melbourne Cricket Ground with his enormous energy as India's campaign in the competition rode to a positive start, courtesy of a four-wicket win versus Pakistan.

Despite the confidence-shattering defeat, Babar reflected on the positives they got from the game, lauding the Pakistani bowlers, and Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood from the batting department. He also lauded Kohli and Pandya for their fabulous knocks.

Here's what Babar stated

"Our bowlers bowled really well. All credit to Kohli and Pandya. It wasn't easy with the new ball. We had partnerships after 10 overs. We tried to stick to our plans. But credit to Virat Kohli. In the middle we decided we wanted a wicket and held the spinner back. We had a lot of positives. The way Iftikhar played and the way Shan played."

After the dramatic clash, Pakistan will face Zimbabwe in Perth on October 27, while India are scheduled to lock horns with the Netherlands in Sydney on the same date.
