Virat Kohli bludgeoned an unbeaten 82 off just 52 balls to help India squeeze past the arch-rivals Pakistan by four wickets in the nail-biting Super 12 contest of  the ongoing T20 World Cup at the MCG on Sunday.

After the pace bowling duo of Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh did the maximum damage with the ball to restrict Pakistan to 159/8 in the 20 overs, Kohli and Hardik Pandya (40) joined hands and stitched a match-winning stand worth 113 runs off 77 deliveries to help India finish the match on high.

Social media was abuzz with celebrations as wishes and congratulatory messages started pouring in for Kohli and team India.

The special one, however, came from the greatest ever. The former India cricketer and legend Sachin Tendulkar was in awe of Virat's magnificent knock against Pakistan, especially the six he smashed off Haris Rauf's bowling by going on the back foot.

Tendulkar took to Twitter to congratulate Kohli. The batting maestro heaped high praise on the Delhi batter, saying that this may be Kohlis' best innings of his career.

Here's what Sachin Tendulkar tweeted

Virat Kohli himself rated his unbeaten knock of 82 runs off 53 deliveries against Pakistan on Sunday (October 23) as his best one so far. It won't be wrong to say that the former India captain played a knock for the ages, and it will be remembered for years.
