Cameron Green replaces Josh Inglis in Australian World Cup Squad

After what was speculated earlier, Cameron Green has been drafted into Australia's World Cup Squad for injured Josh Inglis, who suffered from a hand injury on the golf course.

The nature of the injury was deemed serious, and it was very much certain that he would be ruled out. The Aussies were considering other options, which included Josh Philippe, Travis Head and Ben McDonald. However, it was Green who pipped the other two based on his all-around skills and also the fact that he can be utilised to keep the wickets.

The decision was approved by the ICC Event Technical Committee, which consists of Wasim Khan, ICC General Manager - Cricket (Chair); Chris Tetley, ICC Head of Events; Peter Roach, Cricket Australia, Shane Doyle, Men's T20 World Cup Local Organising Committee; Shaun Pollock (Independent) and Ian Bishop (Independent). 

Green, off late, has been in fine form for Australia after impressing in the series against India. 

Australia's first game of the World Cup will be against New Zealand on 22nd October at Sydney.
