India have decided not to travel to Pakistan for the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup.

There were rumours that the apex cricketing organisation would insist on a neutral venue and Jay Shah has now confirmed the same during BCCI's 91st Annual General Meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

The continental championship is expected to be moved to a neutral venue.

"Neutral venue for Asia Cup is not unprecedented and we have decided that we will not travel to Pakistan," Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI and also the president of the ACC, said.

Meanwhile, the new BCCI president was also confirmed during the 91st AGM earlier today. Former World Cup winner Roger Binny has replaced Sourav Ganguly at the helm.

The Women's IPL 2023 is also on the agenda and the BCCI will reveal the pertinent details relating to the tournament in due course.
