ICC have confirmed that players who test positive for Covid-19 during the T20 World Cup 2022 currently being played in Australia will be allowed to feature in the matches. It has come on the back of the Commonwealth's desicion to let Tahlia McGrath feature in the CWG2022 final against India despite being COVID-positive.
The mandatory isolation requirements for Covid-19 positive individuals set by the Australian Federal Government ended earlier this week. With the World Cup's initial stage starting from today it seems to the perfect time to get underway with this mega-event.
Rules by ICC:
- No mandatory testing during the tournament
- No isolations for a Covid-19 positive player
- Team doctors to decide if a Covid-19 positive player can feature in a match or not
