Winning an ICC Trophy is a story of the past as far as Team India is concerned. The team tends to enter an ICC event as a favourite, but they fail to live upto the expectations. Entering a tournament as favourites and winning it are two different things. At the moment, Team India doesn't really know how to pull this off.

Over the years, there have been 'n' number of reasons why India couldn't live upto its expectations. But, it is time to focus on a few things that could actually work in their favour this time.

India is not the favourite to win the 2022 T20 World Cup, which can work in their favour. Being favourites brings added pressure. The fact that India have had their troubles with injury and inconsistency amongst top player will bring in criticism and we have players who love to prove critics wrong.

A young inexperienced bowling unit will force the batters to bring their 'A' game to the table. The fact that India have some of the best batters in the world, it might work in their favour.

Australia is a place where India have scripted history time & again; memories of the Border Gavaskar triumph in the last two tours are still fresh. The format might be different, but the drive & vibe remains the same.

The King breathes fire on Australian grounds, they bring the best out of him, and it is evident that if he gets going, Virat alone can do the damage in the majority of the matches.

Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli love playing in Down Under, don't believe me; go look at their stats. Their pitches won't trouble our batter as such; the pitch and the field dimensions will only help our bowlers.

Rohit Sharma's stars might help India break the curse, while those who play the game don't believe in stars and stuff, neither do I, but they seem to work. Virat Kohli was in the form of his life and had a team of 'Galácticos', but he couldn't go past that hurdle. So maybe, it wasn't meant to be.

The Indian skipper has won 6 IPL titles, five of them as skipper. A few trophies where won from situations one couldn't predict, so there is something that tends to go right for him. Maybe I am wrong, but 'What if I am right? What if Rohit Sharma having the armband is the answer?'
