Dane Schadendorf extends deal with Nottinghamshire for two years

Nottinghamshire's wicket-keeper batter Dane Schadendorf has signed an extension to his deal and will now stay at the club atleast until 2024. With 1001 runs, he was the highest scorer for the second XI of the club in the last edition, which was the most by any player in the single edition.

Claiming a total of 34 dismissals with the gloves, he was also the highest in this regard.

Also, he was on display for 23 of the Championship games and 20 T20 matches, where the Zimbabwe U-19 performed brilliantly.

Incidentally, his first appearance came when he replaced in for Ben Duckett during the game and since then, played every game during last two years.

What Schadendorf said on his extension:

“Nottinghamshire has become my home away from home in the last few years, so to be able to extend my stay is very pleasing."

Coach Peter Moores expressed his pleasure over re-appointment of Schadendorf and mentioned the ability to strike the ball. He said,

“I’m really pleased for Dane as he’s worked so hard over the last twelve months and it’s great to see it result in some match-winning performances this season.”
