Ben Stokes' form is a cause of worry for the England side heading into the all-important T20 World Cup in Australia.

Stokes has amassed just 16 runs in first 2 matches of the 3-match T20I series against Australia, and now questions are being asked about his place in the side.

However, Stokes' teammate, Moeen Ali has come out and has brushed aside the concerns surrounding his form leading upto the mega event. Moeen believes Stokes is much more than a batter for England and his experience would be quite handy for Jos Buttlers' side.

"I don't care if Ben doesn't score any runs in the next couple of games, because once the World Cup comes I'm sure he'll be fine. Even if he doesn't score, he is a great player to have in your team," Moeen Ali stated on Thursday.

"Ben offers so much even if he's not scoring runs, he opened the bowling, bowled really well and was brilliant in the field. That effort to save four runs was brilliant," he added.

Stokes played just 5 T20I matches last year, scoring just 84 runs. So far, he has had a mediocre series against Australia, but will be looking to bounce back when the two sides clash against each other on Friday for the final T20I of the series.
