Ben Martindale is among the latest batch of youngsters to join the first XI side of Nottinghamshire. He joined the likes of Sammy King, Dane Schadendorf, Tom Loten among others who recently signed contracts with the club.

Upon the signing, Martindale said:

“To have made my professional debut this year was a special moment, and one that I hope I can replicate in 2023 by working hard over the winter and producing performances when the season comes around again.”

Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores has also praised Martindale for his credible performances for the second XI side. He said that the youngster has earned his contract through some outstanding performances at the club academy, and stated that he has the ability to score against stronger bowling attacks.
