Informing of a latest development, several media reports have emerged, mentioning that Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen could be the late arrivals in Australia as the duo have failed to board the flight due to visa issues.

The two pacers were supposed to be India's net bowlers in upcoming T20 World Cup, however, in their absence Saurabh Kumar, Chetan Sakariya and Mukesh Chaudhary, who have already touched down in Australia, will fill up.

There is still no clarity on Malik and Sen's departure to Australia. The possibility of them not travelling to Australia for the tournament is also up in the air as the Indian team already have aforementioned net bowlers.

In the meantime, both the speedsters will play for their respective state sides in the 2022 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

In another setback, Deepak Chahar is reportedly out of the tournament. The pacer did not take part in the ODI series versus South Africa due to an ankle injury

The trio of Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur will leave for Australia today. Shreyas Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi, who are India's reserves, will not travel with them.

Although India have not named their replacement of Jasprit Bumrah, the race is between Shami and Siraj.
