Super Kings Academy has expanded its wings to its first-ever cricket facility at Hosur, which will get underway in January 2023. Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni inaugurated the Academy at the MS Dhoni Global School on Monday (August 10) at Hosur.

It is the third centre of academy after opening previous two at Chennai & Salem. The Hosur facility will comprise eight pitches and turf for practice games  and matches.

On this occasion, CSKCL CEO Mr K.S. Viswanathan expressed his delight to have their presence at Hosur from next year. He added that Dhoni's presence will be an inspiration for the budding cricketers.

Viswanathan also provided a hint of relaunching Junior Super Kings, which has been helpful for the growth of the young cricketers and keeps them prepared for the state tournaments and IPL.

“We are excited about this new journey. When we launched the Super Kings Academy in two centres in April this year, we wanted to spread our wings to other parts of the state and country as well," said CEO Mr K.S. Viswanathan.

"Glad that we now have a centre here in Hosur. The presence of our charismatic skipper Dhoni will definitely inspire each and everyone here."

Dhoni also shared his thoughts on school life, and termed it as the best in a person's life. He thinks character building happens at the school, which helps to make us disciplined, punctual and a zeal to learn every day.

He reckoned that a student needs to manage his time well and concentrate on game and studies.

In the end, the 40-year-old urged students to use sporting facilities to its fullest, and be competitive enough to win the games.
