It is fair to say that Suryakumar Yadav is in the form of his life. The dashing middle order batter has had a meteoric rise in the Indian white-ball setup and will be a key player if the Men in Blue are to win their second T20 World title.

Suryakumar is arguably India's best T20 batter at the moment, with former cricketers reckoning him as the player to watch out for in the upcoming World Cup.

Now in a video posted by BCCI, SKY talks about his preparations ahead of the mega event, wherein India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening contest.

"You have to look to adapt to new conditions and how you peak at right time. Excitement is there but you have to stick to the right processes and routine which is important."

"I was really looking forward to coming here and attending the first practice session, and going around the ground and have a walk. The first net session was really amazing. Wanted to see how the pace of the wicket is, how the bounce is. Starting a little slow, onviously there were a few butterflies and there was a lot of excitement," he further added.

India will play two warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand on October 17, and 19 respectively and Suryakumar will hope to continue his good form in those games.
