Craig Young has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 to be held in Australia.

Young had been suffering from a chronic issue which he had managed over some time but it has finally got the better of him and as a result, he will fly back and plan his rehab with the medical team.

Graham Hume will replace him in the squad. The 31 year old Hume who made his international debut against New Zealand earlier this year will fly out at the earliest possible opportunity in order to join the squad in their preparations ahead of the mega-event.

The Ireland team is set to fly out to Melbourne tomorrow in order to play two warm-up matches against Namibia and Sri Lanka ahead of the mega-event.
