Australia will be up against the stern challenge of West Indies in the first fixture of the two-match T20I series on Wednesday (October 5) at Carrara Oval, Queensland. 

Australia are coming into this series with a 1-2 loss against India last month. However, they will be elated by the return of Mitchell Marsh and David Warner, who will bolster their batting prowess. Furthermore, Mitchell Starc is back after recovering from a knee injury. 

West Indies, on the other hand, lost to New Zealand 1-2 as well and will look to come up with improved performances. The team's key batter Shimron Hetmyer was dropped from the squad after missing the flight, and Shamarh Brooks has been named his replacement.

Brandon King: The top-order batter emerged as the top-scorer in the CPL 2022 with 422 runs in 12 innings. In his latest outing, King slammed an unbeaten 83 to help Jamaica Tallawahs secure a title victory. 

Adam Zampa: The cunning spinner has been one of the consistent wicket-takers for the side. In 65 T20Is, Zampa has scalped 74 wickets at an economy of 6.91.

Cameron Green: The all-rounder was in imperious form in the recent series against India, wherein he slammed 118 runs in three innings at a lavish strike rate of 214.54. 

Kyle Mayers: The batting all-rounder mustered 366 runs and took eight wickets in CPL 2022, and has been in terrific form leading up to this series.
