Australia will be up against the stern challenge of West Indies in the first fixture of the two-match T20I series on Wednesday (October 5) at Carrara Oval, Queensland.
Australia are coming into this series with a 1-2 loss against India last month. However, they will be elated by the return of Mitchell Marsh and David Warner, who will bolster their batting prowess. Furthermore, Mitchell Starc is back after recovering from a knee injury.
West Indies, on the other hand, lost to New Zealand 1-2 as well and will look to come up with improved performances. The team's key batter Shimron Hetmyer was dropped from the squad after missing the flight, and Shamarh Brooks has been named his replacement.
