LLC 2022: Shane Watson sinks Gujarat Giants as Bhilwara Kings sets final date with India Capitals

Bhilwara Kings made full use of their top two finish by earning themselves a spot in the final on their second attempt. After sustaining a close defeat at the hands of India Capitals in the qualifier, they came up trumps in the all-important eliminator clash of the 2022 Legends League Cricket season.
The Kings will now once again face India Capitals for the title clash on October 5 in Jaipur.

The Gujarat Titans slammed 194-9 off their 20 overs. The innings featured notable contributions from Yashpal Singh, Kevin O’Brien and Jeevan Mendis.
Up against a monumental total in an eliminator, the Bhilwara Kings openers launched a sparkling start for their side, minting 91 runs within the first nine overs.
William Porterfield top-scored in the innings with a 43-ball 60 while his opening partner Morne Van Wyk struck a rapid 31.
The Pathan brothers, Irfan and Yusuf, charted identical 20s in the middle overs and kept up with the requiring rate. Shane Watson at number three later whacked 48 off just 24 and remained unbeaten till the finishing line.
