Bangladesh Women made a brilliant start to the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 by thrashing Thailand Women by nine wickets. The team is now hopeful of defeating Pakistan Women in its second game to occupy the top place in the points table. The two teams will be competing against each other at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Pakistan Women will have an edge as they have lost just one of their 15 T20I games against the Tigresses. The only time Bangladesh Women manage to defeat the Green Army in the shortest format of the game was during the Asia Cup 2018. Despite the poor record, Bangladesh all-rounder Rumana Ahmed is hopeful of a terrific performance on Monday.

Rumana believes that her team has been playing good cricket for the past few months and they will be looking to back their strengths against Pakistan Women. The bowlers had won Bangladesh their opening game in the T20 event as they restricted Thailand to a score of 82 runs.
