David Miller becomes the first to score a century in T20I cricket batting at No. 5

While India might have won the second T20I match against South Africa in Guwahati to clinch the series. The game will surely be remembered for David Miller's absolute heroics. The South African superstar produced what was one of the best displays of power hitting against India scoring an unbeaten 106 runs off just 47 deliveries.

The sensational knock also makes David Miller the first and only batter to score a century in T20I cricket after coming down to bat at number 5. 

Although Miller and Quinton de Kock could not help South Africa get past the finish line, it once again made it evidently clear that the Indian death bowling could take a major bruising heading into the all important T20 World Cup 2022.

Miller becomes the first to reach 2000 runs in T20I

That was not the only record for David Miller, the Gujarat Titans superstar also became the first South African batter to get past the 2000 runs mark in T20I cricket for his nation. The game saw Miller move past JP Duminy to become the leading run scorer in the format during his innings against India.

Miller has represented South Africa in 103 games scoring 2009 runs, with an high score of 106, and a strike rate of 145.47. The batter averages 34.05, and has 2 centuries and 5 fifties to his name.

He is being closely chase by compatriot Quinton de Kock who has 1964 runs to his name in 71 games with a strike rate of 133.42, and an average of 31.67.

Miller levels Zadran's tally for most sixes

Miller's fiery knock consisted of eight boundaries and seven maximums throughout the innings, 5 of these 7 maximums came during the death overs which saw Miller take thew Indian bowlers to the cleaners.

With these 5 sixes in the death overs Miller now stands level with level with Afghanistan's Najibullah Zadran, with both the two batters smoking 63 sixes in the last five overs in their T20I career.
