India and South Africa are playing a three match T20I series as a final rehearsal before the T20 World starting in Australia from next month. Both the teams will be looking forward to figuring out their perfect eleven before the world event kicks off.

However the starting of the series did not go according to the plan for the visitors. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first on a wicket that seemed to be a bowler's paradise. Both Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar ran through the South African batting order, reducing them to just 9-5 in just 2.3 overs. South Africa somehow managed to got past the 100-run mark.

Even though India faced some hiccups at the start of their chase, fifties from KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav helped India get over the line.

Parnell not worried about what happened in 1st T20I

South African all rounder Wayne Parnell said that even though the first match did not go according to their plan, there is still nothing to worry much about.

He also added that his side has had time to think about what went wrong for them in the first game and will be looking to rectify those mistakes in the upcoming fixture in Guwahati.

"We were here in India a few months ago and then we went over to the UK to play against England and Ireland and now we're back here again before going to the World Cup, so preparations have been good.

"We're now looking forward to the last two T20s and then the ODIs as well before getting to Australia."
