Jasprit Bumrah is considered one of the finest fast bowlers in the world across formats. From nailing yorkers to being a regular wicket-taker, the pacer has achieved unmatched success in the cricket world.

However, off late, he has been suffering from recurring back problems, which saw him ruled out of Asia Cup 2022, and the ongoing T20I series against South Africa.

In one of the major setbacks, the Ahmedabad pacer is also expected to miss the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 as he reportedly sustained a serious stress fracture. The official announcement regarding the same, however, is still awaited.

It is really tough to imagine what the Indian pacer is going through after missing back-to-back games for team India. However, Bumrah himself opened up on his struggles with injury setbacks and how he deals with them.

Bumrah asserted that he generally analyses his days and focuses on producing better results. The 28-year-old also revealed that he often seeks help from coaches or people he has trust on if a problematic situation arises.

Here is what Bumrah said during an interaction with GQ India:

“If it’s been a bad day, I switch off for a while. If my mind starts to wander, I divert it to something else. Then I come back, and I analyze. Good day or bad, I analyze it and tell myself to remember what produced results."

"I depend on my own evaluation, but when I don’t have answers then I look to people I trust and believe in. Then I go to the coaches and seek advice. But after that, I filter the noise out, because at the end of the day I understand my game better than anyone else. I’ve made a career on my own."

Bumrah further stated that cricket is his happy place, and it brings a lot of joy and comfort to the pacer. The Ahmedabad born signed off saying that he enjoys the 'puzzles' that comes along with bowling.
