Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja believes that South Africa would be a team to beat at the T20 World Cup in Australia next month.

The Proteas are currently in India for a three-match T20I series, which marks the last leg of their World Cup preparations.

Here's how Jadeja spoke highly of South Africa

Former Indian all-rounder Ajay Jadeja claimed that South Africa holds a good chance at the tournament, owing to their recent run in the format. While speaking on Cricbuzz, he said:

"South Africa is a team that could surprise a lot of teams in the World Cup and unfortunately, they are in our pool."

Here is a look at the 15-player South African squad for the highly-anticipated event:

South Africa recently registered T20I series wins in Ireland and England. Meanwhile, back in June, Temba Bavuma and co. toured India for five matches where they levelled the series 2-2.

They are placed in Group B at the showpiece event, alongside India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and two teams from the qualifiers and will commence their campaign on October 24 in Hobart against one of the qualifiers.

Their subsequent fixtures include a clash against Bangladesh on October 27, against India on October 30 and against Pakistan on November 3.
