England paceman Chris Woakes set to return from injury

Fast bowler Chris Woakes is all set to make his England return after suffering from injuries over the last six months. Woakes, who had a gruelling last season, over-exhausted himself and underwent a knee injury after picking up shoulder and ankle problems early into 2021.
Woakes has been selected in England's 15-man squad for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, is currently touring Pakistan, and is set to play in one of the remaining three matches of the seven T20I series.
The series is even at two-two as players shift base from Karachi to Lahore for tonight's encounter at Gaddafi Stadium. Stand-in skipper Moeen Ali speaking to the press, confirmed that Woakes is near full fitness and could feature soon.
“There’s a good chance (he plays). He’s good. He is really looking forward to playing but he’s also been out for a long time so he wants to make sure he is completely ready.”
The 33-year-old has from 16 T20I matches, and claimed 15 wickets, while the tally might not suggest, his sheer pace is enough to rattle batters, something the England team management is banking on heading Australia.
