Sri Lanka Legends (SL-L) continued their winning streak on Thursday (September 27) as they defeated Bangladesh Legends by a whopping margin of 70 runs in their final league game of the Road Safety World T20 Series to set-up a semi-final date with West Indies Legends (WI-L) on Wednesday (September 28).

Once again, it was their batters who did all the heavy lifting as they smashed the helpless Bangladesh attack to the tune of 213/5 in 20 overs.

Openers Mahela Udawatte (43 off 27) and Sanath Jayasuriya (37 off 25) got Lanka off to a sensational start with a 56-run stand in 6.2 overs.

Jayasuriya was eventually dismissed by Abdur Razzak but it did not matter one bit as Tillakaratne Dilshan came out all guns blazing.

The former opener smashed 7 fours and 1 six to race his way to a 30-ball 51. Dilshan added 63 runs for the 2nd wicket with Udawatte before adding another 46 with Chamara Silva (34* off 24).

Sri Lanka Legends eventually finished at a whopping 213/5 in 20 overs

A target of 214 was always going to be a tall order for Bangladesh Legends, and it didn't help their cause that they got off to a horrendous start.

Chasing 214, Bangladesh lost both their openers- Aftab Ahmed and Nazimuddin- cheaply thanks to Dhammika Prasad and Jayasuriya respectively.

Tushar Imran did provide some stability to the innings even as wickets continued to tumble at the other end. What he couldn't do is infuse any sort of momentum to the innings as ate up 54 deliveries for his 52 runs.

Abul Hasan (29 off 16) and A Kabir (16* off 6) tried to infuse some momentum to the innings but, unfortunately, it proved too little and too late as Lanka- thanks to Dilshan and Gunaratne- romped home by 70 runs.

Brief Scores:

Sri Lanka Legends: 213/5 (20)

T Dilshan 51 (30), Mahela Udawatte 43 (27)

Bangladesh Legends: 143/8 (20)

T Imran 52 (54), Abul Hasan 29 (16)
