Despite Pakistan's three-run win over England in the fourth T20I, skipper Babar Azam stated that his side fell about 10-15 runs short with the bat.

Pakistan defeated England by three runs in a thriller in Karachi on Sunday. Chasing 168, England never got going after losing their top order courtesy of a fiery spell from Mohammad Hasnain. However, when Liam Dawson smashed 24 from an over to drag his team to the edge of victory, Haris Rauf brought back the home side by picking up two wickets in as many balls to leave Adil Rashid and Reece Topley needing 4 from the last over. However, they could not get the job done as the hosts levelled the series at 2-2.

When Pakistan were batting, it seemed like they were going to get something around 170-180 but the visitors pulled things back in the slog overs to restrict them to a par total.

While speaking about his team's performance in a close encounter, Pakistan's all-format skipper admitted that they were short with the bat but lauded the bowlers for saving the team from losing their third game of the ongoing seven-match series.

Skipper Babar also reserved special praise for Haris Rauf, who snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for his team in the penultimate over.

“The way we started with the bat, we were about 10-15 runs short. The bowlers were outstanding for us. We are trying to keep our middle order flexible and use it according to the situation. In different games, we have tried different combinations. He (Haris Rauf) is our key bowler, and he is getting even better day-by-day,” said Babar Azam in a post-match presentation.
