Indian skipper Rohit Sharma pinpointed different players coming to the team's rescue in pressure situations as his biggest positive take away from the 2-1 T20I series win over Australia.

India rode on brilliant knocks from Suryakumar Yadav (69 off 36), Virat Kohli (63 off 48) and a final flourish from Hardik Pandya to overhaul Australia's total of 186 in the third T20I in Hyderabad on Sunday night.

Here's what Rohit Sharma said

"Yeah, playing as a team. We did that. The positives from the series are getting the team out of trouble. People came on top of the pressure. The team management is happy with the players, who came on top under pressure."

India found new match-winners at different stages of this series

Rohit's assessment is bang on point as India did find different saviours to their rescue in each of the three games.

Opener KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya were terrific with the bat in the opening game, while skipper Rohit stole the show in the second with a match-winning 20-ball 46* to seal the deal in a truncated game.

On Sunday, it was the turn of King Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to whet the appetite of India fans with their gorgeous stroke-play.

As far as the bowling is concerned, left-arm orthodox Axar Patel proved to be India's go-to man in each of the three matches, as he not only bowled with discipline but also claimed crucial wickets.

Axar finished with eight wickets in three games at a stupendous average of 7.88 and was rightly adjudged the 'Player of the Series'.
