Australia lost the rain-curtailed second T20I to India at Nagpur. The series, now levelled at 1-1, will now conclude with the decider in Hyderabad on September 25.

Despite the defeat, Australian captain Aaron Finch was one of the standout performers for his side, as he blasted a 15-ball 31 at the top. After the match, the skipper stated that his team is trying to be more aggressive in its approach, keeping in mind a T20 World Cup is around the corner.

The opening batter said that his team is constantly trying to improve in the matches leading up to the T20 World Cup. The skipper added that the team decided to go with Glenn Maxwell at number three in the second T20I in order to be more aggressive upfront.

As it turned out, the decision backfired because Maxwell got castled by Axar Patel for a first-ball duck. Tim David at number four was also dismissed similarly by Patel early in his innings.

Finch said:

“Yeah. I think it's important that you're always looking at ways to improve and obviously, we went with (Glen) Maxwell at three, Tim David at four, so we're trying to be a bit more aggressive upfront and yeah, we haven't played too many shortened games.”
