Invited to bat first, England lost Phil Salt (8) in the third over. Soon, Dawid Malan (13) made his way back to the hut after failing to convert his start into a big innings.

However, the debutant Will Jacks was in sublime touch as he steered the Three Lions at a lavish rate. At the other end, the in-form Ben Duckett was strong with his support. The duo added 43 runs in 25 balls before Jacks was dismissed by Qadir for  the score 40 off 22 balls.

Harry Brook arrived at the crease, and was sensational with his ball-striking capabilities. He took the centre stage and remained unbeaten scoring 81 off 35 balls, his innings laced with eight fours and five maximums. The southpaw, Duckett delivered a 42-ball 70 runs knock and helped England post a total of 221 on the board.

Nevertheless, the 62-run stand between Shan Masood and Khushdil Shah helped the Men in Green to cut into losing deficit. In the end, Masood remained unbeaten on 66 off 40 balls. However, despite his valiant effort Pakistan could score only 158 in their designated quota of 20 overs.
