Rohit Sharma stuns Australia with full powered hammering as India level series

Rohit Sharma and company thumped Australia in the second T20I and brought the three-match series to levelling terms. The two high-profile sides will now collide in the series-decider in Hyderabad on September 25.

To start off, Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first. Aaron Finch provided Australia a blazing start until a searing Jasprit Bumrah yorker curtailed his innings.

Later, Matthew Wade sparked a death-over outburst by smacking 43 off just 20 deliveries. In a high-scoring innings, hosts spinner Axar Patel conceded just 13 off his two overs, all while picking the crucial wickets of Glenn Maxwell and Tim David.

Indian run-chase revolved around skipper Sharma, who did the bulk of the scoring throughout the second innings. The opener whacked a 20-ball 46 while Dinesh Karthik clubbed 10 off two to finish off the proceedings in the end.

Much like Axar Patel for India, Adam Zampa starred with the ball for Australia as he claimed three wickets, including the prized-scalp of Virat Kohli.
