India one of the favourites for T20 World Cup: Jacques Kallis

Former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis reckons that team India will be one of the top title contenders in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, which will be played in Australia from October 16 to November 13.

The South African legend, who is playing for the India Capitals in the ongoing season of the Legends League Cricket, is making a comeback to competitive cricket after many years. 

Often regarded as one of the best all-rounders ever to grace the game, Kallis spoke about India's chances in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The 46-year-old said that India will start as favourites to win the silverware event as they have 


Here's what Kallis told to the Times of India

"India has played some very good T20 cricket and they will be one of the favorites, no doubt, but there is a bit of luck in the World Cup,"

"I think India does have a team to be the favourite. In the World Cup, you need the luck to go your way and you need to play big moments. Certainly, they do have a chance to win it." 


Meanwhile, less than a month is left for the T20 World Cup and things are not at all looking good for the Men in Blue at the moment. They had a dismal show at the Asia Cup 2022 where they failed to make it to the final and it didn’t change much for them in the first T20I against Australia either.
