Will Pucovski returns as Victoria announce squad for first two matches of the One-Day Cup

Victoria have included promising top-order batter Will Pucovski in their 13-member squad for the first two games of the upcoming One-Day Cup starting on Friday (September 23). 

Notably, Pucovski was out of action following a concussion injury he sustained at the end of the last summer. He returned to competitive cricket through a second XI game last week, where he scored a century, securing his place in the squad for the One-Day Cup. 

Experienced Peter Handscomb will lead the side, which contains three other internationally experienced players in Scott Boland, Marcus Harris and Jon Holland.

Veteran batter Nic Maddinson was unavailable for the match as he completes his county cricket commitments with Durham, but will be available for the state's first Sheffield Shield encounter. 

Regular players Brody Crouch and Zak Evans have missed the cut, as they are yet to recover from injuries.

Victoria will lock horns with New South Wales and Western Australia in the first and second match of the tournament, respectively. Both games will start at 10.05 AM AEST (5.35 AM IST).
