Hampshire vs Kent
Kent were at 20/3 at the start of Day 2 at Southampton. The experienced batter Jack Leaning returned to his finest to steer the team with odd boundaries, while Daniel Bell-Drummond was a strong support as well.
After the dismissal of Daniel (40), Leaning continued his momentum to slam 112 off 178, laced with 14 fours and a six. Then, with the handy runs from the lower middle-order, Kent finished on 269, and set a target of 378.
In response, Ian Holland and Nick Gubbins could not provide much contribution to Hampshire. However, the gritty knocks from Joe Weatherley (54*) and Felix Organ (37) kept the team in good stead to finish on 105/4. It will be interesting to see if James Vince can continue his rich form to help Hampshire secure a victory.
