In a significant turn of events, England Cricket Board has announced the schedule for the upcoming home summer.

The men's team is set to lock horns with Ireland and New Zealand apart from playing the Ashes. On the other hand, the English women will cross swords against their Sri Lankan counterparts in the limited-overs formats other than competing in the Women's Ashes.

Talking about the men's team, Ben Stokes' troops will hope to regain the urn as they will travel across the country for the five Tests. The last time these two giant powerhouses clashed in the Ashes in England, the series went down to the wire, with both teams eventually sharing the honour.

In another significant event, the Englishmen will play their first T20I series against New Zealand on home soil for the first time since 2013. The last time it happened, the Kiwis emerged victorious by a 1-0 margin.
