India National Team skipper Rohit Sharma is on the cusp of achieving a huge milestone in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Australia, starting Tuesday (September 20).

The clock is ticking and we are now less than a month away from the much-anticipated and worth hyping 2022 edition of the ICC Men's T20I World Cup.

However, ahead of the gala event, the Men in Blue are hosting the defending World Champions in the three-match T20I series, which will serve as ideal preparation for both teams for the showpiece tournament.

Rohit Sharma To Become Top Six Hitter

Meanwhile, Team India captain Rohit Sharma, who is currently the highest run-scorer in the history of T20Is is just two big hits away from becoming the batter with the most sixes in the history of T20I cricket.

Currently, New Zealand batter Martin Guptill claims the top position in the tally as he has hit the maximum number of sixes in the shortest format, with a total of 172 sixes. Rohit Sharma currently stands second with 171 sixes.

The top two are followed by West Indies batting great Chris Gayle, who has 124 sixes to his name, former England skipper Eoin Morgan with 120 hits, and Australian captain Aaron Finch with 117 sixes.

After hosting Australia, India will square off against South Africa in a three-match T20I series, starting on September 28. The series also includes three ODIs but the T20I World Cup-bound players will not take part in the 50-over matches..
