Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh wants to invest all his attention towards retaining the T20I World Cup crown on home soil amid suggestions that the Western Australian is a prime contender to take over from Aaron Finch as the ODI skipper.
Finch retired from ODI cricket following the culmination of the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy last week.
A hunt for the new Aussie ODI skipper is well and truly on, with Marsh Jr being talked up as one of the prime contenders.
However, the seam-bowling all-rounder is having none of it at the moment as he intends to return to peak fitness to give himself a best possible chance of helping the world champions defend their crown.
