Sri Lanka became the latest team to announce their 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2022, scheduled in Australia from October.

As expected, Dasun Shanaka will lead the side, and Sri Lanka will be high on confidence after winning the Asia Cup against all odds.

The Sri Lankan team management haven't tweaked with the side that won the Asia Cup this month. They have trusted the young side and will bank on their spinners Wanindu Hasaranga, and Maheesh Theekshana to do the job in the middle overs.

With Pathum Nissanka, Danushka Gunathilaka, and Kusal Mendis forming the top-3, the middle order will boast the likes of Rajapaksa and Shanaka.

However, the biggest boost for the Lankan Lions will be the return of Dushmantha Chameera. The lanky pacer missed the Asia Cup due to an injury and he certainly adds an extra flavour in the Sri Lankan bowling attack.

Ashen Bandara, Praveen Jayawickrema, Dinesh Chandimal, Binura Fernando, and Nuwanidu Fernando are the stand-by players in the squad.
