When the Legends League Cricket return for the second season, there won't be any dearth of stars participating in the event. However, with the series set to kick off with a one-off charity match scheduled to take place between Indian Maharajas and World Giants on September 16, the occurrence is expected to be a lot more interesting.

The latest information now coming in is that the former Australian World Cup-winning coach John Buchanan will be coaching the Indian Maharajas. In contrast, Lalchand Rajput has been entrusted with the responsibility of World Giants. Both these coaches are also handed the responsibility of heading Bhilwara Kings and Manipal Tigers in the league stage.

Buchanan's credentials are highly impressive, with two World Cups and a Champions Trophy under his belt, along with making his side a formidable Test attack. Rajput, conversely, has been at the helm of coaching staffs in Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Raman Raheja, co-founder and CEO of the league expressed his delight over the appointments of new coaches. He said,

“It is great to not only have legendary players but coaches as well, who have not only been part of their country’s biggest victories but also share a great relationship with each of the cricketing stalwarts. We welcome both of them and wish them all the best for the match at Eden Gardens."

The upcoming edition is expected to be a blockbuster event with four teams set to battle it out from 17th of September.
