Accuracy is my key focus: Ollie Robinson after a five-wicket haul vs South Africa

English seamer Ollie Robinson made an astounding comeback into the England Test set-up. After taking five wickets at Old Trafford, Robinson dismantled South Africa on the third day of the ongoing The Oval Test, finishing with his Test-best figures of 5 for 49.

The first day of the deciding Test was washed out after England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bowl first. The second day was then called off following the Queen's death.

The two called-off days meant England needed a fiery start to hold on to the match and clinch the three-match series which is currently levelled at 1-1.

The England seamers did exactly that as they wreaked havoc at The Oval and got on the throats of the Proteas batters from the word go.

Ollie Robinson, who has been terrific with the ball ever since he made a comeback to the team, furnished another breathtaking spell to bowl the Proteas out for just 188 runs in 36.2 overs in the first inning.

Worked really hard on my consistency: Ollie Robinson

The Surrey pacer speaking to Sky Sports on his back-to-back stellar bowling performance, reckoned that he primarily focuses on ‘accuracy’ during training and tries to move the ball around either way.

"My consistency is something I've worked really hard on, any time I train accuracy is my key focus, just hitting the top of off stump and getting the ball to move around either way.”

Robinson further conceded that he tries to bowl at batters to make them play as much as possible and he takes pride in doing that.

"It's something I pride myself on, and making the batters play as much as possible is key.”

Apart from Robinson, star pacer Stuart Broad also bowled a stupendous spell, having knocked off four opposition batters on the third day of the match.

"Yesterday, we noticed it wasn't swinging that much early on, so we went to the wobble seam deliveries pretty quickly and that worked well on that pitch."

Robinson continued his red hot form and got rid of Khaya Zondo and Wiaan Mulder as England bowled South Africa out for 169 in their second innings on Day Four.

England were given a 130-run target by South Africa in the fourth inning and they were at 97 without a loss when stumps were taken on the fourth day.

The hosts need just 33 runs more on the fifth day to win the third match and clinch the three-match Test series against South Africa.
