The Super four encounter between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 will be remembered not only for its thrilling finish but also the heated on-field tussle between the players as well as fans of both teams.

For those who can't recall, the game witnessed Asif Ali's distasteful spat with Fareed Ahmad Malik, following the latter's aggressive celebration upon dismissing the former. To make the matter worse, the spectators from both countries engaged in an ugly physical clash in the aftermath of Pakistan's victory, turning the iconic Sharjah into a battlefield.

Pakistan's legendary former batter Javed Miandad has criticised Afghanistan players for their disrespectful behaviour in the aforementioned match.

Miandad admitted to being disappointed with the Afghan players' attitude and advised them to stay grounded for the upliftment of their game.

"I was baffled to see how Afghanistan behaved, thinking of themselves as superstars. They need to realise that if you remain humbled and give respect to others, then your game will grow."

Pakistan and Afghanistan don't share a great bond, both on and off the field. Whenever these two teams lock horns on the field, it leads to a gruesome fracas between their fans.

Amidst all the drama, Naseem Shah's twin sixes did the job for Pakistan that day. The Men in Green will cross swords against Sri Lanka in the final of the showpiece event in Dubai tonight.
