Stupidity at extreme level: Gulbadin Naib lashes out at Asif Ali after fall-out

The Super four-stage match between Pakistan and Afghanistan saw the former triumph over their neighbours by one wicket in a close nerve-wrenching encounter, thanks to two final over sixes by Naseem Shah. The game had everything from ups and downs to lows and highs, but one moment stole the limelight from everything.

In the fifth ball of the penultimate over, Asif Ali was caught at short fine leg on a Fareed Malik delivery, who then gave me a send-off, to which Ali turned around, and a heated exchange happened between the two. Thankfully, the umpires intervened, and the altercation didn't go too far.

Former Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib took to Twitter to express his disgruntlement over the matter, which he felt was stupidity, and for such an act, he should be barred from further participating in the tournament. He said,

"This is stupidity at extreme level by Asif Ali and should be ban from the rest of the tournament, any bowler has the right to celebrate, but being physical is not acceptable at all."

Pakistan to face Sri Lanka in the final

After getting over the Afghan challenge, Pakistan will now face the mighty Sri Lankan side in the final of the Asia Cup, which means India and Afghanistan will face each other in a dead rubber after losing both their matches.

Pakistan won both their games in the final over after first defeating India and then the Afghan side in this encounter.
