The Trans-Tasman rivals Australia and New Zealand will clash in the second ODI of the three-match series in Cairns tomorrow at 9.50 AM IST.

Despite giving Australia a run for their money, the Kiwis eventually lost the first ODI by a narrow two-wicket margin. While their bowling was outstanding, the visitors would like their batters to step up in this must-win encounter.

On the other hand, the failure of their top order has become a matter of concern for the Australian think tank. While Aaron Finch has been bullied by the left-arm seamers, David Warner, Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne have blown hot and cold recently. So, the hosts would want these marquee players to get back their mojo quickly.

Match Details

Venue: Cazaly's stadium, Cairns
Live Streaming: Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV App

Pitch Report: The surface at the Cazaly's stadium in Cairns assisted batters and bowlers to equal degrees in the first game. While the bowlers found some movement off the pitch early on, batting became significantly easier as the day progressed. So, the toss-winner will likely bowl in the first half and exploit better batting conditions later.

Spotlight: Cameron Green

The last few games have been memorable for young Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. The 23-year-old bailed out the Aussies from a critical position and ensured their thrilling victory by scoring a fabulous 92-ball 89* in the first ODI.

His bowling has also been a big positive for the Aussies. Considering his form and incredible all-round credentials, we expect him to put up another superb performance tomorrow.

Key Players

Alex Carey exhibited nerves of steel and played a scintillating 85-run knock to become Australia's trouble-shooter in the first match.

Trent Boult's new ball spell was sensational in the last game. The veteran left-arm seamer registered impressive figures of four for 40 in his ten overs.

Glenn Maxwell was pivotal in restricting New Zealand to a sub-par total, as the off-spinner scalped four wickets for 52 runs.
