The former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to express his disappointment following India's loss against Sri Lanka yesterday.

India hasn't had the kind of Asia Cup they would have hoped for in this edition. The men in blue, led by skipper Rohit Sharma slipped down to their second consecutive defeat in the Super four stage. Their defeat against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets means that they are almost out of the tournament.

"Tell me if these guys don’t deserve the chances ??"- Bhajji on Twitter

The Lankans put up an exhilarating performance, firing all cylinders in a must-win game to upset the defending champions. Registered a 6-wicket win while chasing 174, retaining the top spot on the points table. On the other hand, the second loss on the trot has put India’s final qualification in jeopardy. Following the loss, former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to express his disappointment. Bhajji (as he is fondly known) was thoroughly unimpressed with India's efforts with the ball which has been under a lot of scanner lately.

On Tuesday, Harbhajan took to Twitter and questioned the selection of the Indian team. He asked why the likes of Umran Malik and Deepak Chahar aren’t there in the team. He was also disappointed over Dinesh Karthik not getting chances consistently.

“Where is Umran malik (150km speed) ? Why Deepak Chahar (top quality swing bowler )wasn’t there ? Tell me if these guys don’t deserve the chances ?? Why Dinesh Karthik don’t get chances consistently?? Disappointing,” Harbhajan tweeted.

India are on the verge of getting eliminated from the Asia Cup 2022 following the loss against Sri Lanka. However, captain Rohit Sharma said there are no long-term worries as they were experimenting with three seamers in view of the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
