Miller, Rabada to make Australia flight as CSA announce strong 15-player T20 World Cup squad

Cricket South Africa have thrown down the gauntlet for the T20 World Cup next month. On Tuesday, September 6, the board unveiled a strong 15-player tournament squad, thus becoming the latest competing side to do so.

T20 veterans David Miller, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada are all set to take flight for Australia under Temba Bavuma’s guidance. Rassie van der Dussen, however, will miss the expedition Down Under after succumbing to an untimely injury.

CSA draws T20 World Cup 2022 squad as country eyes maiden title

The South African cricket team recently defeated England in a three-match T20I series away from home. On the basis of form-guide, player injuries and availability, the cricket board have drawn up their 15-player squadron for the global T20 event, which will set course across the grassy banks of Australia in October.

The expanded squad includes an arsenal of pace options, featuring the likes of Lungi Ngidi, Wayne Parnell, Anrich Nortje and veteran Rabada. Seasoned spinner Tabraiz Shamsi also made a cut into the group, alongside the likes of senior South Africans Miller, de Kock and Markram.
