Australia will lock horns with New Zealand in the first game of the three-match ODI series on Tuesday (6 September) at Cazaly's Stadium, Cairns.

Although Australia sustained a defeat in their latest outing, they prevailed 2-1 over Zimbabwe last week. The Aaron Finch-led side are not expected to tinker enough with their set combinations and play with a same line-up.

On the other hand, New Zealand also secured a 2-1 ODI series victory on Caribbean soil. The experienced campaigner Kane Williamson has returned to lead the team.

It will be interesting to see whether Australia can secure a victory and improve their position in the World Cup Super League table.
